At Hardings we are proud of our strong and secure links with our families and external professionals.
We have regular Open Sessions where you can come in and look at your child's Learning Journey and see what they have been doing at Nursery/Pre-School. Learning Journeys are out and accessible at all times for both you and children to look at whenever you want as well.
We use WOW sheets to show specific and special things which have happened - these are used from home and also by our practitioners within the setting so that things are shared between home and Nursery/Pre-School.
To enhance the learning and development opportunities we provide at Hardings, we have created "Home Learning Packs" - these contain books with activities linked to the Ages & Stages sheets we use to monitor progress and attainment within the EYFS curriculum that we follow.

We also have an achievement tree in our play room. Parents are able to take a paper green leaf to complete and send in any
achievements from home. Practitioners will also present achievement leaves to the children during in session.
Within our setting we have a HARDINGS PRE-SCHOOL COMMUNITY NOTICE BOARD. This shows our links with local charities such as DiPPS
and Isabel Hospice
Hardy Bear
Hardy is our Nursery/Pre-School mascot. He loves to travel and will come to stay with you during your time at Hardings! Hardy has a special book which travels with him where you can share photographs/drawings etc of your time with him.
